A while ago we announced that we would celebrate our 25th anniversary at the end of September. Unfortunately, life can interfere with even the best laid plans. MU moved its homecoming out of October and into September. We have to rebuild our deck. (And yes, it's going to be DIY.) Our DM was unavailable. And many other gremlins that have appeared to toss a wrench into it.

We have made the tough decision to move the celebration to Saturday, November 1. However, it is shaping up to be a great weekend of fun and games complete with cake.

I took a little break from the carpet cleaning chaos and had a friend teach me how to play Kabuto Sumo. It's such a fun little game, even if the pieces look like colorful macarons in pictures.

The Jefferson Middle School board game club is looking for game donations. If you have any gently used board games that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at the Gate. They specifically need games that play in an hour or less and any that play with 5-8 players.
